I Hate Putting Titles on My Blog

I've been in Calgary for more than 2 weeks now and it's been quite awesome.

Work: Work is going pretty well, despite the fact that I feel so retarded, like I'm working and thinking at such slow paces. I'm getting as much work as I want though, so that's good. I really should try harder to be more efficient. The group I'm working in (Facilities Engineering group) is full of young engineers, so that's really awesome. They're all really helpful and seem to know so much more than me! I got to go to the field last week, which was cool. The wellsites are not as interested as I had anticipated them to be. I'll probably get to go again next week, but to a different site. Yay. =) I just love working downtown Calgary. Everything's so close by. During lunch, I always meet my roommate and other co-op students up for lunch, or we go shop around together. So awesome. =)

Home: Our house is pretty sweet, except for the fact that our walls our paper thin, so you can basically hear everything that goes on in the house. Haha. We have conversations with one of us downstairs in the basement and one of us upstairs in the kitchen. =P It's cool living with my roommates though cuz we get hang out together like all the time. Eat together. Go to the gym together. We got memberships at the YMCA, so we're gonna be working out more and more now. Yes! I need to gam fei. =P

Last last weekend: Went on a ski trip with a big group of people. We had originally planned to go to Big White but because of an avalanche, the highways were closed, forcing us to turn back and to go to Kicking Horse in Golden instead. It was so awesome!! The mountains were full of nice, fresh powder, which, from what I hear, is good for beginners to learn on. It was only my second time snowboarding but it was so much fun!! Man, I was aching like for a whole week after the trip though. Hahaha. I'm considering buying myself a snowboard, boots and bindings. =P Check out pics on facebook. =P

Last weekend: We didn't really do much in Calgary. Mostly cleaning the house, grocery shopping, facebooking (hahahaha), cooking breakfast and dinner, ddr (of course!) and movies. That's about it. I've been going to church at the Calgary Chinese Catholic Church (Our Lady of Perpetual Help) since I've been here, and meeting up with a few people for lunch and hanging out afterward. It's so easy to get disconnected from church when I'm not living with family, but I'm gonna make my best effort to go every or almost every week. Maybe I'll even start getting involved in the church here. Who knows. =P

This weekend: I will be going back to Edmonton to spend some time with my family and friends cuz I've got a long weekend. Woohoo. Short week! I'm excited, but at the same time I'm sad cuz my roomies are gonna have so much fun in Calgary without me. And our friend is coming down to visit too. =( Poo. I wanna be here. But I wanna be in Edmonton. Hahaha. I guess I can't be in 2 places at once......=P It sucks too cuz they keep rubbing it in my face how they'll have fun without me! =P
